To take advantage of a growing tourist population, Niagara County Community College’s administration decided to relocate and market its popular culinary program to downtown Niagara Falls, New York. Cannon Design assisted naming and branding the new Culinary Institute – Niagara Falls. The primary logo symbolizes the falls within the folds of an iconic chef’s toque. Secondary logos developed in circular and vertical formats, accommodated applications from uniforms to plate and glassware, merchandise for the retail store, print materials, signage and electronic communications. Concurrently with the branding process, the architectural team developed the new home of the Culinary Institute, a 3,000 sf teaching kitchen and 3,000 sf fine dining restaurant, located within walking distance of the American Falls.
