In 2004, Cannon Design was awarded the contract to design and build a brand new university in southern Florida. While the architectural team focused on the masterplan of the university, I led the graphics team in the development of a identity system for the new university. Working closely with the VP of Campus Relations, we developed marketing and fundraising materials, donor recognition programs, a sports logo, a secondary university mark – and a Visual Identity Manual – to document all of the materials that had been produced.
The secondary mark, the fundraising materials, and the sports logo were recognized by American Corporate Identity and published in the 2009 edition.
The signage project was also recognized by the Type Directors Club and was awarded a Certificate of Design Excellence and published in TDC55.
